The second half of 2014 was an exciting time for the Gamma team as once again we enjoyed a day out to celebrate our mascot Miranda’s Mole’s birthday, helped raise some funds for the BBC Children in Need Charity appeal and most importantly saw two additions to the Gamma family.
Friday 18th July saw the Gamma guys and girls head to the Secret Nuclear Bunker, located close to our offices in Kelvendon, Essex. Yes, you did read that correctly, we were at a Secret Nuclear Bunker; it is just that its location is no longer much of a secret. Three activities were planned for the day along with a BBQ in the summer sunshine to end the day. The activities were Rifle Shooting, Water Zorbing and Quad Biking; all were enjoyed by those that participated in them, with the possible exception of the Quad Biking as several accidents did occur. So overall, everyone did enjoy the day, even though we came back with several injuries and had had two separate visits to Accident and Emergency!
Mid November always sees the BBC run a charity appeal in aid of Children In Need. This year the Gamma team helped raise some money by donating a sum in return for participating in a company quiz. Keith, our Client Services Manager, played the role of quiz master with question topics ranging from TV, Music to Super heroes. Congratulations to David, James, Stephen and Kirsty who were champions on the day.
Finally, we would like to welcome two additions to the Gamma family, Nick Rutter and Kirsty Hart.
Nick joined from ASI Promocar Incentive Analysis but has had a long career in automotive analysis having previously worked for L. Polk UK and GfK Automotive. Nick explained that he first came across mTAB whilst working for GfK and as he gained a favourable impression of the software he applied to join the Gamma team. Nick says that "since joining he has found the company, people and work ethos to be exceptionally positive and proficient". Nick is looking forward to working with Gamma’s mTAB programs at the production end of data analysis.
Kirsty joined us straight from Canterbury Christ Church University where she graduated with a Computing degree. When asked on her first impressions of joining the team Kirsty said “I am really enjoying my new role here, my colleagues have all been really welcoming and friendly, which has helped me to settle in well. I have enjoyed using both mTAB and mTABView and the variety the different software brings to my work”.
All of us here at Gamma wish both Nick and Kirsty long and successful careers here at Gamma.
