As always it has been a busy time at Gamma since our last newsletter .
We have enjoyed ourselves celebrating Miranda Moles 7th birthday.
There has been a promotion and we have the pleasure of announcing a new arrival to the Gamma family!
Christmas & New Year Closure
As mentioned on the Newsletter 'Home' page, the Gamma team is looking forward to celebrating Christmas and the New Year with their families and friends.
Accordingly, the Gamma offices will be closed from Saturday, 24th December 2011 and will re-open on Tuesday, 3rd January 2012.
Miranda's Birthday
As with last year we had a day out of the office to celebrate Miranda's birthday and as seven is an important age in mole terms she decided to celebrate with style.
This year she organised for all of her Gamma colleagues to go on an adrenaline-filled adventure. We had the great opportunity to go white-water rafting at the Lee Valley White Water Centre in Hertfordshire which will be used for the London Olympic 2012 canoe course.
The first task of the day was to get the wetsuit on!! After lots of pushing, pulling, tucking and jumping and with help from our colleagues we all managed it successfully.
We were then split into two teams and were taught how to tackle the waves and high drops of the course whilst trying to remain in the raft! Unluckily, our newest team member, Rhian, managed to fall out but was quickly rescued!
Following the blood-pumping thrills of hurtling round a white water course, Miranda organised a three-course traditional English meal at the Chichester restaurant in Wickford, Essex to re-energise the whole team!
At the end of the meal we had a prize giving ceremony. A worthy winner was Matt Croot for "Strongest Man of the Year". This was following an incident earlier this year when Matt accidentally pulled the door off the Gamma fridge. Keith and Sophie were given the "Mr and Mrs" award for being so knowledgeable about each other following their many trips to visit clients across Europe!
Miranda was incredibly generous this year and thanked us for celebrating with her with chocolates and gift vouchers.
We would like to give a big thanks to Keith and Angela who assisted Miranda in organising her festivities. We cannot wait for next year's celebrations!
The Gamma extended family adds another member.
We are happy to announce the safe arrival of Kirsty and Craig Willson's baby girl Lucy.
Lucy Ann was born on the 8th of September at 10:29 pm weighing a healthy 6lbs 3oz (that's 2.85 kilos for our European partners).
Judging from the photograph, Lucy's arrival was something of a surprise!
We wish all the best to the Willson family and look forward to Kirsty's return in June next year.
Promotion
Many of you may be familiar with one of our Project Supervisor's David Xu.
Dave has now been promoted to acting assistant manager in Kirsty's absence. We are sure that Dave will continue to excel in his new job role.
